Glitter & Glam

So Thursday night as I previously posted, Lil' John performed at the Nasimi Pool, 

I was invited to Movida for the official after party and I absolutely couldn't refuse a night in the VIP, 

so I went a bit over board with the glitter !!!

Because my dress was quite conservative in the front with its high neckline and 3/4 length sleeves I wore my hair in a messy ponytail with a clean quiff. 

I adore this dress but hadn't had the chance to wear it even though I've had it for almost a year!

I love how the plunging back sort of takes away from the utter conservativeness that you see in the front but still keeps it classy, and of course the fact that its completely sequined makes this dress such a head turner. 

Of course my one of my fave pair of glittery Steve Maddens to accompany this dress went without saying.

I was worried that my Alexander Mc Queen clutch would be pushing the boundaries, but that's the definition of fashion so I made it work because of the opaqueness to the swarovski's !!

Witty in White

Haven't posted since I was in my tropical paradise, but here's a few pics of one my casual summer outfits..
I'm wearing a fully white combination, just to embrace the summer vibes! I find it casual yet chic, it could easily be worn to a beach-club for lunch or even out at night here, as everyone is so laid back..

  The tiny, cropped spaghetti strap, flowery top was in one of my recent posts.. one of my favorites.

 My skirt is an Abercrombie high waisted, flowy and embroidered piece with a lace underskirt. I'm not usually a fan of the whole white on white clashes, but in this case I just couldn't resist showing of my Balinese tan!!

To finish off the ensemble, I went for silver sandals that link in nicely with the grey and red flower patterns on my top, just because I had to break up the all white combination..
all together an easy going summer look!

I MISS BALI , hope you all had a lovely summer and your tans aren't fading as fast as mine is..

I'm positive this superstar needs to further introduction, because unless you're living under a rock, everyone's talking about JUSTIN BIEBER'S first concert in the UAE. Big shout out for Dubai!!

The concert will be held at the Dubai Rugby Seven's Stadium on May 4th 2013!

If you know me, you know my passion for shoes.. I am utterly hypnotized by how majestic they are, and as Marylin Monroe said -
"I don't know who invented high heels, but all women owe him a lot."
And amen to that.

My most recent obsession is with Jeffrey Campbell's new suede Lita Spike's!!
I've always loved his shoes, they can be worn casual yet have that runway twist, with their unique sprinkle of Vintage! Their shape is iconic and recognized globally. I purchased a pair of his last summer in the Hamptons, and I get compliments everywhere I go as they're a huge eye catcher!

 I recently found out that a newly opened boutique, 'West L.A boutique' sells similar ones in Dubai! Finally, so people can get into the trend at last, and I do notice more and more people wearing them.


These are the babies I have my eye on, hopefully purchasing soon!

They are ALL drop dead gorgeous, but these Teal ones give me heart palpitations.. 

Teal is my middle name and pastel colours are a real soft spot of mine! 

These are just a taster of all the fab colours they come in, from red, to white, to black, to beige etc..

Summer Bliss

Long overdue post! Just thought I'd share a few things I've enjoyed wearing so far this summer..

This necklace is one of my favorites, I had bought it a few years ago & sadly had forgotten & neglected it! Well until I recently found it, as I was rummaging through my stuff to pack for summer. 

Don't get me wrong, I adore my studs, shredded jeans, lace, leather & stiletto's, but once in a while my girly side comes out laced with flowers & butterflies! 

The top is a recent purchase from Bershka, I recommend it at the moment has some funky summer-wear going on.

 

This top makes me happy, and what it represents I am not up for discussing. Funnily enough I recently got into a debate with my two best girls, about what we individually believe the Illuminati to symbolize & their position in society. Yes, they were to some extent created to divert the public's attention off what is currently occurring politically, but NOT to brainwash those more oblivious to certain issues or cause mass 'hysteria' as such, ANYWAYS don't get me started, completely off topic.

The next few pictures are of my old jeans, that on a lazy day in I decided I could make them useful again & turn them into shorts! 

I cut them, shredded both of them where the hem would be, because let's be honest, it's more exciting than stitching a hem... then finally pushed through a couple of studs to give them some flair.

and on these pink ones added a few extra tears here & there.. 

                                 

SO NEVER CHUCK AN OLD PAIR OF JEANS, THEY'RE MORE USEFUL THAN YOU THINK...
